Weekly Progress 4
This week, the group continues to work on the mechanical design of the medical device as well as electrical design and Arduino programming. The group continues to test the device for bugs and possible issues that may occur. During the class period, the group was able to successfully make the LCD screen respond to the Arduino code and the screen was able to produce a light. Unfortunately, the group was unable to determine the reason why the LCD would only produce light in half of the screen. In the following weeks, the group will continue designing the mechanical and electrical parts of the medical device as well as starting the system integration of the medical device. The group also plans to incorporate the UV sensor into the device and connect it to the LCD to display the UV readings through the Arduino code. Once this task has been completed, the group will finish the prototyping of the medical device and will work on the final project report.
