Weekly Progress 3

The group discussed with Dr. Khuon during and finalized the project. This week, the group will finish research and begin the building phase of the project. The group will also start the technical part of the project, which consists of creating the code for the Arduino.

Previously, the group wanted to incorporated a motion sensor and a water sensor into the project, which proved to be too difficult for the group's current skills and abilities. The project will now consist of a UV sensor that connects to a LCD screen, which will allow the user to see the UV levels and also set off a buzzer when the timer on the screen reaches zero.

During the class period, the group tested the UV sensor and the code, which was able to detect a reading of the UV levels. The group was able to determine that the values shown on the computer were the analog values, which can be used to determine the UV level.
