Weekly Progress 1
The first week of the project consisted of developing a project proposal. In the project proposal, the team created a project timeline, which consists of set dates for when the group expects certain deliverables and other tasks to be accomplished. The team will start conducting our research on our UV index device, which will continue onto next week. The final goal is to design a functional and wearable prototype that allows the public to protect themselves from ultraviolet radiation by the end of the term. The group have also developed a budget for our project, which should be around $40 total or $10 per person. Some of the parts that needs to be purchased in order to create the project include a UV sensor, a water sensor, a motion sensor, a LED Screen, and Arduino pieces. Some of the technical activities that need to completed by the end of the project include programming the UV sensor to detect the ultraviolet radiation, programming the timer to go off at certain times, and programming the motion and water circuits to detect a person's movement and sweat.
